LocalCall vs Gemini Call for Me at a glance
An AI that calls businesses for you, outside the US, in their language, from any browser.
In September 2026 Google began testing Call for Me, which lets Gemini phone a business for you. It is an early experiment for Pixel 11 owners in the US with a paid Gemini subscription, English as the device language, and the beta Phone app, and it calls from your own number. Google Search's separate Ask for Me feature calls local US businesses to check prices and availability. LocalCall's AI phone agent works from any modern browser, calls supported numbers in 200+ countries, speaks the local language, and shows a live translated transcript.

Where Call for Me doesn't reach
Call for Me lives in the Pixel Phone app and suits quick English calls to US businesses. LocalCall handles the calls it can't: a hotel in Lisbon, a clinic in Seoul, or a landlord in Mexico City, placed from a browser and held in the local language.
20-minute cost example
A 20-minute AI-agent call costs 20 times the destination’s per-minute rate, which is shown before the agent dials. Most reservation and availability calls finish in a few minutes.

Prefer to talk yourself? Switch to live translation: you speak your language and the other side hears theirs.
Send the agent to book a table, confirm a hotel detail, arrange a taxi, or check an appointment slot, and get the outcome in writing.
When to choose LocalCall
Choose LocalCall if you are outside the US, don't have a Pixel 11, need the call held in another language, or would rather pay per call than keep a subscription. If you already have a Pixel 11 with a paid Gemini plan and only call US businesses in English, Call for Me may be enough.
